Children’s Holiday Wish Program

Children’s Holiday Wish Program Sponsored by the Volunteer Student’s Bureau at Indiana University: Every child looks forward to the joy and magic of the holiday season. But without the help of the community, some children will have no one to provide their holiday gifts. You can make a difference for children in the Bloomington community by generously supporting the Children’s Holiday Wish Program. Each year, individuals, community groups, organizations, church groups, and businesses give generously to help these children know that someone cares about them. If you would like to help out one of these children, please email Aaki Bhargava at bhargava@indiana.edu. Thank you so much for your help and we look forward to working with you!

Support Global Gifts

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Global Gifts is having a special shopping day to support community organizations here in Bloomington and fair trade advocacy organizations. Instead of going shopping at the traditional Black Friday store sales, we’re asking fair trade supporters to buy fair trade at Global Gifts to help support an alternative market system based on fair wages and poverty alleviation! In return, on Friday Nov. 27th we’re donating 10% of our proceeds throughout the day to the following organizations:

10:00-12:30 – Stepping Stones
12:30-3:00 – Imani Workshops
3:00 -5:30 – Fair Trade Resouce Network
5:30-9:00 - Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard

Thank you for your support of Global Gifts!
