Food will be provided by several area restaurants and there will also be live entertainment. Tickets will be only $10 and may be purchased at the Hutton Honors College, the Asian Culture Center, La Casa, the GLBT Student Support Services Office, The Wells Library, Wright Food Court, and the three Bloomingfoods locations. You are cordially invited to this very special event; a wonderful opportunity to support not only local charitable efforts, but also our distressed island neighbor to the south. Even as you read this message, much of Haiti still lies in ruins; but together, with your help, the world can help rebuild Haiti. Thank you and warmest regards! Opportunity for Student Leaders to get involved in Diversity Education
Date: February 9
Time: 6:00p.m.
Venue: Maple Room of the IMU
The Office of Diversity Education is starting a group for students who are interested in diversity training. This opportunity will allow students a chance to learn how to empower our youth and peers through diversity initiatives. One proposed avenue is through having a diversity panel that will go talk to area high schools and classes within Indiana University. Another way to achieve this initiative is to develop a street team who will be in charge of solely advertising and promoting various diversity events throughout the year. These are the initial ideas, but there is more room for growth. They are seeking students with diverse backgrounds who have an interest in helping spread the message of diversity and advocate for a more inclusive campus environment.
